What's the Difference Between Beard Oil, Beard Butter & Beard Balm?
For those in the Weeds of the details
Beard Oil gives a gentleman’s beard a nice shine, light moisturizer/nourisher and conditioner for the skin and beard. It’s your foundation for your beard care and provides the best value when applied to the skin first and then worked into the Gentleman’s Beard. It does not provide beard control
Beard Butter is what we like to call the “Sweet Spot” between Beard oil and Beard balm. It’s has a butter consistency, is a deep conditioner and provides light hold/control for a gentleman’s beard and works well for beards of ALL lengths. For the greatest benefit, apply it after you apply your Beard oil
Beard Balm – serves to sculpt a Gentleman’s beard (tame those flyaway hairs) while offering conditioner and has a medium to heavy hold. Use Nominally
Long Story Short
Beard Oil = nourish the skin FIRST & then the hair (light conditioner) No Emulsifiying Wax/Beeswax
Beard Butter = Deeply nourish & condition the hair with little to no Emulsifying Wax/Beeswax.
Beard Balm = Consist predominately of Emulsifying Wax/Beeswax to style the hair (helps tame flyaways) with some nourishment and conditioner
